What is Paint Protection System (PPS)?
Car surfaces are easily exposed to the environment pollutants such as sulphuric and nitric acids.
The usage of sealant as a PPS, chemically bonds into the car's paintwork to protect the polished surface. As the treated surface cures, the sealant molecules will interlock to form a strong protective coating to the paintwork. |
How is Klef PPS different from other PPS products in the market?
Generally most of the sealant or PPS products have similar principle, to bond with the paintwork to create a tough protective coat, but of course they do contain different type of ingredient contents. What are water marks and water etching?
Water marks are formed by water droplets settling on the paintwork surface after a rain or improper drying which is usually removable through polishing. Water etching, is formed by water droplets that contain harmful pollutants such as acid which penetrates deep into the clear coat and paintwork. Restoring of etching surface to original condition is almost 80% impossible. Therefore, a PPS treatment is often recommended for new cars as a protective coat to reduce the chances of paintwork defects. |

What should I do if I encounter bird droppings and tree saps on my vehicle?
Bird droppings and tree saps contain harmful acidic pollutants. Leaving it prolong under the hot sun may result in deep penetration into the protective coat and eventually paintwork. This may result the paintwork to be almost incurable.
Always keep a packet of non-alcohol-based wet tissue to wipe away the fresh bird droppings and tree saps gently. If the bird droppings and tree saps have hardened, leave the wet tissue on the affected area for 1-2 minutes to allow miniaturization before wiping it off gently. Never use a dry tissue as it may cause scratches to the paintwork! |

What is claying?
A clay-like material used for removing surfaces impurities and particles. Usually used for removing / reducing of sand blasting particles. A common car care product used for bringing surface back to smooth condition. May require professional help. |

My work is on 9-5 basis, how can I have my car groomed by Klef during the weekdays?
Klef will locate a multi-storey carpark nearest to your workplace. For safety reason, klef will not drive customers' car on the roads . All we need is a few minutes of your time to drive your car to the nearby assigned carpark, after which our service crew ferry you back to your workplace. Upon completed, service crew will ferry you back for your car collection. |
